Changes to academic staff profiles on HASS websites

Important changes are being made to all academic staff profile pages on organisational unit websites. Please take the time to read the below to learn how these changes affect you.

Effective immediately, staff profiles will no longer update automatically from Workday. 

If you are an academic staff member with a published UQ Experts profile that is public, your profile will automatically redirect to UQ Experts from 8 September 2026.

UQ Experts is the University’s source of truth for researcher profiles and this approach ensures that your web presence is maximised and reduces duplicate maintenance.

To update your UQ Experts profile, you can login to the academic portal and make your changes here.

To improve security and reliability, UQ is undertaking a broader program of work to move away from the Drupal 7 web platform that supports many organisational unit websites (faculty, school, institute and division sites).

This transition is expected to occur over the next 12 to 18 months.
