Date: Wednesday 15 March 2023

Time: 10am – 12pm

Cost: $15 per person

Venue: The Atrium, UQ Brisbane City, 308 Queen Street, Brisbane City

Dr Sol Rojas-Lizana, a senior lecturer in UQ’s School of Languages and Cultures, grew up in a safe house with some of Chile’s most-wanted political fugitives during the military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet.

In this special 3T event, Dr Rojas-Lizana chats with Contact editor Michael Jones about the hidden memories of her childhood, when one false move could have led to the death of her family and the ‘criminals’ they harboured.

During the event, Michael and members of the Contact editorial team will also discuss how stories like Dr Rojas-Lizana’s are brought to life and provide an insight into the editorial process behind UQ’s digital alumni and community magazine. You can read Dr Rojas-Lizana's story on the Contact website.

The event will include morning tea.
