Preventing violent extremism through engaging civil society and a women, peace & security lens

Part one of UN Women Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific’s series of events on the UN Security Council resolution 1325 20th anniversary, this event will provide a platform for discussion amongst CSOs, UN, academia, and government on how to best support CSOs to prevent violent extremism in their community through a Women, Peace and Security (WPS) lens.
The event will feature and launch the newly developed ‘Gender and Preventing Violent Extremism in Asia’ Training Package, developed by The University of Queensland in collaboration with civil society in Indonesia and Bangladesh.
The training modules including Participant Workbook, Facilitator Guide, and PPT Presentation can be downloaded from UN Women website.
