Presented by A/Professor Geoff Ginn

Archives can be a rich source of documentary evidence for humanities research, but you can easily be swamped by the amount and diversity of material available. This workshop shows you how to approach archives and their various categories, organising principles, finding aids, and procedures. Through this session you will get advice on how to find original sources, how to conceptualise them, and how to use them in your HDR research.

Each of these HASS Research HDR Training Workshops in 2021 will be for worth 1 Career Development Scholarship Extension (CDSE) point, with a limit of 5 points (maximum) for eligible CDF Sessions. More information on eligible CDF sessions is located here- Guide to activities required for Career Development Scholarship Extension (CDSE) eligibility.
