Researcher biography

I have interests in Indigeneity in architecture, in particular through its dynamic transformation of built environments and place-making. I have written about Indigenous architectural themes through its representation, expression and connections to living cultures in articles, book chapters, conference papers, encyclopaedia entries, professional journals and online media. I have dabbled in architectural design recognised in State Architectural Design awards and written creative works about Indigenous themes in architecture. I teach Indigeneity in Architecture through critical examination of its expression, representation, methods and provocations. I’m currently a member of the First Nations Advisory Working Group and Cultural Reference Panel with the Australian Institute of Architects. Finally, under the auspices of Department of Planning, Infrastructure & Environment, and Government Architects (NSW) I sit on the State Design Review Panel.
