Josephine is in her final year of a dual Arts and Laws program majoring in international relations. An international student from Singapore in search of a more dynamic uni life, she spontaneously attended a HASS Paint and Sip event one evening, where she gained more than a canvas masterpiece at the end — she found that there was much joy to be shared in making new friends!  (however daunting befriending people in adulthood may seem). Since then she has been actively involved in similar initiatives that help other UQ students ease into uni, find their sense of belonging as they establish peer networks and venture beyond their comfort zones. She is also excited to join the HASS Teaching and Learning Committee, to provide input in curriculum development and some feedback as to improving assessment structures for HASS students.
