Jacinta graduated from UQ in 2018 with a Bachelor of International Studies, majoring in French and Peace and Conflict Studies. While studying, she volunteered with World Vision’s youth movement, VGen, as their National Communications Coordinator, and also did some work with them promoting 40 Hour Famine in high schools around Brisbane. Jacinta is now a Graduate Policy Officer in the Queensland Government. She has done a 6 month rotation in the Public Service Commission, working in executive recruitment and contract management, and is now in her second rotation in Homelessness Programs. Jacinta hopes to eventually get into International Development work, but that is still a dream-in-progress. She’s looking forward to stepping into the role as an Young Alumni Ambassador and (hopefully) helping current students wade through the chaos that is the transition between uni and fulltime work!
