The HASS Faculty Research Office's ARC support is a combination of scheme focussed sessions and 1:1 peer review. This support is intended to complement local mentoring and the structured activities provided by the central Research Office (UQ RO).

To access HASS support we ask applicants to provide an EOI or Notification Form to initiate discussion on their proposals to confirm scheme match and readiness. This is paritcularly important for ARC Fellowship (DE and FT) schemes to confirm institutional support for submission.

ARC Discovery Early Career Researcher Awards (DE23)

The HASS Faculty has an Expression of Interest (EOI) for DE23 applicants. This process will provide applicants the opportunity to seek feedback from HASS research leaders to assess their readiness for the scheme. Additionally it will allow our schools/centres/institutes within HASS to confirm support for identified applicants before the round opens.

Existing UQ staff and external applicants considering the HASS Faculty to host their Fellowship application for the DE23 round are directed to complete the EOI form at anytime up until 31 August 2021. EOIs will be assessed on a rolling basis with a 2-4 week turnaround depending on when the EOI is submitted.

Applicants identified for support for the round via the EOI process will be directed to the HASS DE23 Development Program to assist in the preparation of high quality submissions for consideration by the ARC. The HASS Faculty Research Office will provide regular updates and support to the DE23 cohort as the round progresses and up until submission to the ARC and during the rejoinder process.

HASS DE23 Expression of Interest Form - please submit to research@hass.uq.edu.au at anytime up until 31 August 2021.

ARC Linkage Projects (LP21 and LP22)

Preparing an LP application for the ARC can be as challenging as it is rewarding. But you are not alone on that journey. The HASS Faculty Research Office is committed to supporting you alongside our Directors of Research/Deputy Director Research (ISSR) and our expert central Research Office team. Working together this support combines to help you at all stages of the process. The purpose of the HASS LP Notification process allows us to build a framework and timeline of submission of your Linkage Project based on you need.

The HASS LP Notification Form can be provided at any stage of the application development. Ideally we would ask you to notify us early in the process to ensure you can leverage from all the support available. Following submission of the Notification Form the HASS FRO will then reach out to discuss the next steps.

HASS staff submitting LP applicants led by HASS or involved as CIs led elsewhere within UQ or externally are asked to complete this process to confirm support for your involvement in the application. If you are a staff member within ISSR,  before you consider your participation on an ARC LP as a Lead CI or CI please contact the Deputy Director (Research) to discuss your plans first.

HASS LP Notificaiton Form - please submit to research@hass.uq.edu.au at anytime for LP21 or future LP22 rounds.
