Monica Clayton
Monica Clayton is a final year Master of Communications student, majoring in Strategic Communication and before commencing her postgraduate studies, she was a registered nurse who worked in operating rooms. As rewarding as the profession was, Monica found her creativity and desire to connect with people was limited, and wished to pursue roles that brought together people, communities, language, and culture. Her academic interests involve the impact and ethics of generative artificial intelligence for arts and cultural communication, intercultural communication, digital media creation, and community engagement. As a postgraduate representative for HASS SCA TLC, Monica is looking forward to discussing new ideas and different perspectives to contribute to a better and inspiring learning experience for students at UQ.
