Ms Ash Young

I’m the Senior Student Experience Officer in the HASS Student Futures team, and I work to help HASS students feel connected, confident, and at home at UQ. I look after our orientation programs, create clear and friendly student communications, and support our wonderful volunteers who bring so much energy to the HASS community. I also assess unpaid work experience applications so students can safely explore real‑world opportunities that support their growth. My focus is on making sure students get the information, support, and experiences they need to navigate university with confidence.

I love what I do, and I have 12 years of event management experience to back it up. 10 of those years have been at UQ, so I know the place inside out. My strengths lie in relationship building, planning strategically, and using technology effectively. I’m always up for a coffee or a chat, so feel free to reach out to me anytime!
