Graduation is an exciting and busy time, and to ensure that the process is as smooth as possible we have developed a few steps to assist you with preparing for graduation. We recommend that you complete the following steps, and review the information on the UQ Graduations website.

2. Requests to Exit Out in Final Semester

Domestic and International undergraduate or postgraduate coursework students in their final semester who wish to exit out with one component of their dual, or who wish to take out a lower program in the postgraduate suite, are advised to apply via the program change request function in SI-net. More information about this process can be found at my.UQ

If the program change request application window has closed, and it is before census date, you must submit a request in writing to the Faculty ( by one week before census date in the relevant semester. Requests should include your name, 8 digit student number, program information, and the reason for the request.

The Faculty cannot guarantee that requests received after census date in the relevant semester will be assessed, and processed in time for you to graduate in that semester. All requests received after the census date in the relevant semester require making a formal case to the Associate Dean (Academic) for approval.
