Young Australians and the Promotion of Alcohol on Social Media

This successful Linkage project (worth $265,949) is led by Associate Professor Nicholas Carah in our School of Communication and Arts and involves The Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education (FARE) as the key Partner Organisation.

The project team also includes Dr Amy Dobson (Curtin University); Dr Brady Robards (Monash University); A/Prof Daniel Angus (QUT); and Ms Meredythe Crane (FARE).

This project aims to determine how young people engage with alcohol and nightlife marketing on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat.
