The UQ Western Civilisation Winter School is a two-and-a-half-day residential program that introduces students to key themes in Machiavelli’s The Prince. Since the 16th century, Machiavelli’s landmark treatise has challenged readers to consider the relationship between politics, power, and ethics. Students will explore the treatise and its legacy through a series of lectures, workshops, and hands-on activities.
The program is an excellent opportunity for students to experience university life and gives students a taste of what it is like to study Western Civilisation and Humanities at UQ.
If you enjoy reading, writing, or thinking about big ideas, this is the Winter School for you.
