Congratulations 2018 Research Award winners

13 September 2018

Five outstanding researchers and research supervisors from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences were recognised for their exceptional contributions in a range of fields at The University of Queensland 2018 Research Week awards.

Held at Customs House earlier this week, this event celebrated projects that create change in many areas including vaccination rates, preserving cultural and natural heritage and increasing STEM education.

The awards were presented by UQ Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Peter Høj across three categories – UQ Foundation Research Excellence Awards, Partners in Research Excellence Awards, and Awards for Excellence in Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Supervision.

We would also like to congratulate Professor Brian Head from the School of Political Science and International Studies who, along with his colleagues, received a Partners in Research Excellence Award commendation.
