Ancient ruins reveal humanity's secret history

Find out how the discovery of ancient ruins in Turkey helped transform the world’s understanding of how humans first became farmers – and how researchers in the School of Social Science are using the site to conserve heritage in the future.

Professor Andrew Fairbairn and PhD Candidate Steve Chaddock hope the work sparks a deeper interest in the story of the world’s past, that may see other yet-undiscovered sites in the region better protected from unintentional destruction.
