Your University Journey
You’re about to start your first year at UQ and you’re wondering what the road ahead looks like. In the videos below, three undergraduate students - Britt, Tyson and Rosie - have devised a roadmap for you as a general guide to success. The beauty of university is that you control your own fate and experiences, so think of yourself as the driver of your own journey, and enjoy!
You’ve gotten through your first year, what’s next?
During the middle years of study, you should start to think about finding opportunities to develop professional capabilities and experiment with new ideas.
The best way to do this is to do something!
In this video, Britt, Tyson and Rosie talk about some of the clubs, programs and activities available at UQ and how they took advantage of these opportunities.
Graduation is nearing and you’re starting to seriously think about your future after graduation.
In your final year, think about something that you’ve wanted to do, like a research project, an internship or even a sport, and tick it off your bucket list.
Get recognition for everything you’ve done by applying for the UQ Employability Award.
In this video, Britt shares her thoughts about her last year at university.
