Welcome to Pru Rolff, who has returned to UQ as Senior Manager at the Institute of Modern Languages, taking over from IML Director Georgiana Poulter who retired last month.
Pru brings a wealth of experience and expertise gained over her longstanding and notable career.
Beginning her journey at UQ as a Team Leader at the Medical School, Pru later transitioned to Canberra in 2015, joining the ANU Medical School. During her tenure at ANU, she served as the professional representative and facilitator for the change management process of the Medical School and ANU School of Psychology merger.
In May 2023, Pru assumed the role of Manager of Language Services at UNSW Canberra, where she played a pivotal role in the contract relationship with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). She focused on improving collaborative relationships, identifying, and addressing policy, governance, and risk issues, as well as enhancing business flow and continuity.
Pru’s tenure at esteemed institutions such as UNSW, ANU, and UQ has been marked by a steadfast dedication to fostering a people-centred environment. As a devoted parent to three young children and a diligent MBA student, Pru embodies the essence of balancing professional aspirations with personal commitments.
Her journey has been one of exploration and cultural immersion, having traversed the globe and resided in various countries. A connoisseur of diverse cuisines, Pru finds joy in experiencing different cultures firsthand, enriching her understanding of the world.
We wish her all the best as she embarks on this new chapter at UQ.
