Dean's Scholars
Dean's Scholars
Each semester, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences identifies and recognises the top 100 undergraduate students who complete a full-time semester study load comprising at least 6 units of study in Humanities and Social Sciences courses. Eligible students will be notified by the Faculty.
A congratulatory event with guest speakers is held to recognise all Dean’s Scholars, and each student will be given a certificate of congratulations from the Executive Dean of the Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty.
An honour roll listing the current Dean’s Scholars names is published on the HASS Dean's Scholars webpage.
Dean's Commendations for Academic Excellence
Dean's Commendations for Academic Excellence recognise students enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate coursework and postgraduate honours programs or study abroad students who have excelled academically - with a minimum semester GPA of 6.6 - and who have shown a strong commitment to their study. A notation indicating the award of a Dean's Commendation for Academic Excellence is made on the recipient's Studies Report and Academic Transcript. A letter of congratulations will also be sent by the faculty. For the full list of honored students, refer to the HASS Dean's Commendation webpage.
