HASS student ambassadors assist the Marketing and Engagement team at recruitment events and workshops throughout the year by sharing their study and campus experiences with future students. 

If you're passionate about what you're learning and want to inspire future students to study in the Arts, Humanities, Socials Sciences and Education  - join us as a HASS Student Ambassador!

The role

As a student ambassadors you will be representing the HASS Faculty at various school visits and recruitment and career events such as UQ Open Day and TSXPO.

Student Ambassadors work alongside other UQ staff and students and meet with prospective students to help them make informed choices about studying in the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at UQ. You will be:

• Interacting with secondary school students and their parents/guardians and teachers, providing information on university as a future study option from our own 
• Assisting to break down real and perceived barriers to university (and HASS), promoting the various aspects of life as a university student, and sharing your experiences of transitioning from school to university.
• Displaying a positive image of university, its benefits and study opportunities 
• Representing UQ at a variety of on-and off-campus events
• Required to perform light manual handling activities such as carrying boxes and resources up to 10kg
• Other duties as directed by UQ HASS marketing staff
