Being a part of the Student Futures team, I am involved in the embedding of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) into HASS courses, majors and program. My role is to develop and refine a suite of online web resources to support academics with WIL and enhance the visibility of WIL within HASS.  I am also responsible for supporting the implementation of the PHSS2000 Practical Employability Experience course that contributes to an increase in students’ employability skills and potential.

I come from an educational and research background. I hold the degree of Master of Arts in Education from the University of Tartu with the following working experience as both a primary and a high school language teacher. I also have a PhD degree in Applied Linguistics from The University of Queensland. My research interests include intercultural communication (with the specific focus on emotions), multiculturalism and multilingualism as well as interaction between language, culture and emotion.
