Yasmin Sequeira

Hi there! I’m Yasmin! I am currently in my fourth year studying a Dual Degree in Communications majoring in Public Relations and Arts with an extended major in Sociology. I am deeply passionate about connecting with students and sharing experiences, embracing difference, and engaging with storytelling to create a safe space.  

I currently co-run the UQ HASS Life Instagram account allows me to combine my skills in content creation with my passion for highlighting the diverse experiences and voices of HASS students! I am also a ‘Get Involved’ volunteer and now lead our student volunteer Digital Communities team.

I am super excited to be a Student Representative as I hope to encourage HASS to continue showing up for marginalised communities and leverage the voices that have been overlooked. I am eager to hear about your feedback on campus life and recommendations on improving courses to enhance your Uni experience.
