Yasmin Sequeira

Yasmin graduated as Valedictorian in 2023 with a Dual Degree in Communications majoring in Public Relations and Arts majoring Sociology. Her lifelong curiosity about people and society led Yasmin to devote her career thus far to community-centred work, advocating for the welfare of marginalised communities. She currently works as a Marketing Assistant at place-based non-for-profit, Communify Queensland, managing their digital presence via social media channels, newsletters, and blog writing. Building on her Sociology background, Yasmin has commenced a Graduate Certificate in Urban and Regional Planning at UQ in 2025 to expand her interest in place-making and hopes to move into Urban Development and Planning.
