In my role in HASS I am working with academic and professional staff to embed Work Integrated Learning (WIL) as an integral employability element to support the student experience. This also requires working with industry and community partners to create innovative ways for students to engage in projects and placements.
As these elements come together HASS students and industry gain through shared ideas, developing collaborative understanding and experiences.
I enjoy the opportunity to create connection between each of these groups and build the capacity of HASS programs to offer employability experience, for staff to experiment with new ideas and for students to have another way to grow employability.
For HASS staff who are looking to explore the possibilities of WIL within your course I will connect you with the colleagues, advice and resources to get your course WIL ready.
