Chez has a PhD in sociology from Massey University (New Zealand). Since graduating in 2006, Chez has worked as a researcher across academic, government and non-government settings. She is currently working with UnitingCare Queensland, which is a leading provider of health, aged care and community services across Queensland. Chez works within the Child & Family Services area, coordinating formal research partnerships and building staff capacity to conduct applied research to enhance practice, inform service delivery, and support quality outcomes for individuals and communities. Her current portfolio focuses on empowering children’s voices, changing violent behaviour, and understanding the role of place in practice.
