I graduated from UQ in 2018 with a Journalism (Honours) degree as well as a Bachelors of Journalism/Arts degree, which I completed in 2017. During my time at UQ, I spent a semester studying abroad at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which motivated me to go beyond my studies. I thus volunteered in a number of student leadership programs, such as the Peer Writing Mentor team, and also worked for the university to support students as part of the UQ Student Relations Network Call Crew. Since I graduated, I have been working as a research assistant at USQ to support research into the experiences of visually impaired students. I have also been working in multiple roles at UQ to continue supporting students as I want to help other students have the same excellent experience that I had.
