Kathryn Kayrooz is the Principal at the Queensland Academy for Science Mathematics and Technology (QASMT). 

For more than 10 years Kathryn has been a leader in the field of education, where she develops alliances between industries and enterprises, schools, teachers, parents, and young scholars throughout Queensland. As Principal, Kathryn works closely with senior officers at Education Queensland and with Vice Chancellors from Queensland’s leading Universities, and is well versed in the education sector.

In 2016 Kathryn was awarded the Department of Education and Training International Women’s Day Award and an Australian Council for Educational Leaders Queensland Fellowship for her outstanding leadership and commitment not just to student development, but also to that of her staff. Kathryn is also a published academic, and holds a Masters in Health Science from the Queensland University of Technology.
