My role within the Student Futures team is to support the integration of employability skills into teaching and learning programs, thereby fostering an experiential curriculum that inspires students to extend their capabilities and thrive in their studies and their careers. Through the development of quality teaching and learning experiences that incorporate professional and transferrable skills, I believe we can support students of HASS to meet the challenges of the future.

As a teacher and educational leader with twenty years’ experience in schools and education administration across state and independent sectors, I have a passion for learning and for inspiring that in others also. I hold a dual undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Arts (English and History majors) and Bachelor of Education (Secondary) and have recently undertaken postgraduate studies completing my Master of Educational Leadership through the University of South Australia. Through leadership roles in curriculum, research, innovation and pedagogy, I have developed and sustained my interest in effective teaching practice through the areas of action research and evidence-based practice, authentic assessment, and building student capacity and wellbeing through metacognitive strategies.
