The teaching staff have been incredibly supportive, and it is clear that they truly prioritise the learning experience of their students.

Why did you choose to study at UQ?
For a long time, I have had a strong love and interest in philosophy. Upon researching university options, UQ had a strong program, not just in philosophy, but in a myriad of interrelated fields. Despite having to relocate to Brisbane to study at UQ, I was immensely excited at the opportunity to study at a beautiful university in a subject area that myself and many others at UQ are passionate about.

What is the best thing about studying at UQ?
One of the best things about studying at UQ is being able to be mentored by exceptional staff who are passionate about their field and the learning experience of their students. Alongside outstanding lecturers, UQ's HAPI School also draws in a great and collaborative student cohort. It's been a pleasure to study among wonderful and bright students.

What is the best thing about your program?
I loved the flexibility of my program. My Bachelor of Arts allowed me to test the waters in different disciplines and realise my areas of interest. Meanwhile, my Bachelor of Social Science had the perfect balance between structure and flexibility, thus helping me discover disciplines I otherwise would not have considered. It's wonderful to have the ability to create a customised program!

Please provide any other positive experiences or comments you would like to include.
One of the most positive experiences for me during my time at UQ is during my studies in the Studies in Religion major. The teaching staff have been incredibly supportive, and it is clear that they truly prioritise the learning experience of their students. I felt like I was part of a community who genuinely cared about how I was going and what my future may hold.
