Semester 2 runs from July to October, key milestones included:
  • Student Induction (Week 1), must attend one of the below induction dates:
    • 24 July, 5:00 - 7:00pm AEST - online via Zoom
    • 25 July, 2:00 - 4:00pm - on campus
    • 26 July, 10:00 - 12:00pm - on campus
  • Make first contact with your mentor (Week 2)
  • Program Launch (Week 3): 6 August, 6:00 - 8:00pm - on campus
  • Mentee Workshop (Week 4), attend one of the below dates:
    • 12 August, 10:00 - 12:00pm - on campus
    • 13 August, 10:00 - 12:00pm - on campus
  • Mentor Agreement (Week 5): due 25 August via your 'Mentoring Connection plan' in Chonus
  • Program Closing (Week 12): 15 October, 6:00 - 7:00pm AEST - online via Zoom
Being a HASS student mentee

Student eligibility

  • Enrolled in a HASS coursework degree (including dual degree, honours and post-graduate students)
  • In your second year or above (for undergraduate students)

What's Involved?

Work with your mentor to build your confidence in:

  • Identifying potential career options
  • Building your professional networks; and
  • Articulating how your skills transfer to the workplace

The program runs throughout each semester (Feb to May and July to October) and will include:

  • Introduction to mentoring
  • Practical career development workshops
  • HASS networking event
  • Regular mentoring sessions (in-person/phone/email/or online)
  • Reflection workshop
  • Celebration networking event
