2021 Changes for the Diploma in Arts
We have recently completed a review of the Diploma in Arts (DipArts) and have made some changes to this program for students commencing in Semester 1, 2021.
Some of the changes were made to standardise aspects of UQ programs. Other changes were made to ensure that we have a sustainable suite of program, plan and course offerings. When viewing the course list on the Programs and Courses website, you can change which year you are viewing using the dropdown box near the top right of the list to compare the 2021 DipArts with the pre-2021 program.
As a continuing student, your choice of plans (Minors, Majors) will determine to what extent you are affected by these changes but please be assured that you will be able to complete the plan or combination of plans you have commenced.

4. Which plans will no longer be offered in 2021, and how do I complete a discontinued plan?
From 2021 onwards, the following Minors and Majors will no longer be offered for commencing students. If you are a continuing student who commenced studying one of these plans prior to 2021, you can complete the plan with courses listed on the pre-2021 course list or new courses that may be available in a related 2021 course list. Please refer to the relevant completion planner to assist with your enrolment, and contact the Student Administration team for advice as per section 6.
