A team of academics from The University of Queensland have developed and delivered an edX MOOC tailored to educators and education leaders.

An initiative of the ARC Science of Learning and Research Centre, the course Deep Learning through Transformative Pedagogy: How can powerful teaching strategies and effective learning activities enhance deep learning? was created by Professor Robyn Gillies - School of Education, Professor Pankaj Sah - Queensland Brain Institute, Professor Merrilyn Goos - School of Education, and Professor Annmaree Carrol - School of Education.

With an average age of 36, more than eight-thousand learners have enrolled in the course with the highest rates of enrolment originating from Australia, USA and India.

"We believe this MOOC has generated a tremendous amount of global connections for the ARC Science of Learning Research Centre, as well as for the School of Education."

The self-paced MOOC is currently open for enrolments until November 2017 - enrol online here.
